PROJECTED GROWTH IN DRIPPING SPRINGS ISD
Dripping Springs ISD is a fast-growth district that currently enrolls more than 8,000 students and employs over 1,000 employees across eight campuses and an administration building and transportation facility. From October 2020 to October 2021, DSISD experienced a 9.9% growth. The district is projected to enroll more than 10,000 students by the 2025-26 school year, and nearly 15,000 students by the 2030-31 school year. As a result of this fast growth, DSISD convened a 50-member committee comprised of district staff and teachers, parents, and stakeholders to assist the district in planning for future growth.

DSISD LONG-RANGE FACILITY PLANNING COMMITTEE (LRFPC)
The Long-Range Facility Planning Committee is an advisory committee to the DSISD Board of Trustees, and has the important task of developing long-range facility recommendations to meet the needs of our fast-growth school district. School facilities are planned and built with an expectation to last 50 to 75 years or more, and should reflect the values of the community they serve.

The LRFPC was formed during the 2019-20 school year and then reconvened in October 2021 to meet for a total of 11 times to develop the recommendations listed below. The DSISD Board of Trustees reviewed the committee's recommendations at the February 28, 2022 board meeting. The district moved forward with gathering community feedback on the committee's recommendations with four in-person meetings and an online survey (results can be found below) in April.
