I have been teaching art for 23 years and doing art for as long as I can remember.  I have been married to Lonnie Atkinson for 25 years.  We have one son, Trace, who is a 12th grader.  He plays baseball for DSHS , and he loves hanging with friends.  I enjoy gardening, reading, and listening to my husband play guitar.  I have one rescue dog named Chili..  I LOVE coffee and SEC football, especially Mississippi State Bulldogs.

 

 

Elementary Art Philosophy

I believe  Picasso who said "All children are artist".  My job as an educator is to teach children the language of art so they can become more eloquent in their visual expression.
