  • Dripping Springs ISD allows students starting in the first grade the opportunity to advance a year in math if they have already mastered the content for the grade level they are entering. A math acceleration test is given each spring to identify qualifying students who might benefit from this opportunity (starting with kindergartners entering first grade). Those students and their parents then may decide if they wish to move a year ahead. Transportation is provided between elementary and middle school for fifth-graders taking middle school math classes and between the middle schools and high school for eighth-graders taking high school  math classes.
