The first step of the process was to gather stakeholder input. Students, district employees, parents, and members of the community were invited to be involved in developing a profile of the leadership qualities desired of the new superintendent. The application deadline for candidates was September 23. The Board will review applications on September 30, with initial interviews taking place the second week in October. Review of applications, candidate interviews, and deliberation by the Board will occur in closed sessions, as permitted by Texas statute. Action to name the lone finalist and the vote to hire will take place in open sessions.
