    Welcome to Cypress Springs Elementary!  We cannot wait to see you all for our  3rd year!  As we get ready for all our learners to return we have a lot of important information to share with you!

    1.  For information regarding school supplies or campus information, please visit our website here.

    2.  ATTENTION KINDERGARTEN FAMILIES:  Join us on August 6th from 4 pm-5 pm at the Cypress Springs Elementary gym for Popsicle in the Park (GYM)!  Come say hello to friends you know and meet some new ones!

    3. Please join us for Meet the Teacher Night on August 10th from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.  This is a come-and-go evening and we will host a Back to School Bash from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  We cannot wait to connect with each of you!  We will host a Pre-kindergarten and Kindergarten Parent Orientation on August 9th from 5:30 pm- 6:15 pm.  This information session is designed for parents and will occur before knowing your child’s teacher.

    4.  *Pre-K and Kindergarten Parents are welcome to walk their children to their classrooms during the first day of school. Parents will be given a Visitor’s Badge and will enter and exit through exterior door #3.  Beginning Wednesday, August 16th, all students are expected to walk to their classrooms from either the cafeteria or the gym with their teachers, or from the school's front entrance.  Multiple staff members will be present throughout the campus to support our learners as they make their way to their classrooms. 

    *All 1st- 5th grade parents are welcome to escort their children to the front of the building, but then kiss and hug them so they are off to their classroom ready for learning.  This procedure encourages students’ self-esteem and independence by getting the school day started on their own. Teachers appreciate the uninterrupted instructional time by getting to work as soon as they enter the classroom as a whole group. Thank you for supporting the safety and security of our school community.

    1.  Cypress Springs practices Positive Behavior Interventions Support (PBIS).  Please click here for information in regards to our PBIS systems.  In addition, we are in our 3rd year of Leader in Me.  Each month we will learn and review one habit.  We will begin with Habit One: Be Proactive.

    3.  Skyward Message Blasts: Communication between school and home is critical. Weekly message blasts will be sent from Mrs. Raymond (CSESnews@dsisdtx.us). Please be sure your email address is up to date. If you need support, please contact our front office at 737.260.8711.

    4. Here is our Calendar of Events for 23-24.  Please note events are subject to change.  All changes will be communicated.   Please note there are 2 Early Release Days this school year.  School ends at noon on these designated days.  These days are still days of learning and your child(ren) must attend school: on December 20 and May 30.

    5. Mark your calendars for a Staff/Student Holiday on Monday, September 4th.  Enjoy the 3-day weekend!

    6.  Check out this important Arrival and Dismissal Plan for CSES.  Dismissal plans consist of bus riders, daycare bus riders, car riders, Kids Club, and a walk-up procedure called Tiger Lair.  Click here to learn about the Tiger Lair process.  Thank you for doing your part to keep our Tigers healthy and safe.  

    7.  Please join us Friday, August 19th from 8 am-8:45 am as we celebrate our first week of learning!  This is hosted in our Cafeteria.   This is an informal meet and greet! 

    8.  The annual DSISD Enrollment Verification window opens May 11, 2023, and should have been completed. Visit the DSISD Web page for information.  All families returning and new must complete this process.
