STATE PERSONAL LEAVE
State Personal Leave is paid leave allocated by the state of Texas. Regular, full-time employees receive 5 state personal days each year. If you are a part-time employee, if you are hired later in the school year, or if you leave the district before the end of the school year, state personal leave days are pro-rated according to the number of days worked.
Things to know:
- One leave day is equal to one of your regularly scheduled work days, whether you work 4, 5, 7, or 8 hours.
- State personal leave accumulates from year to year if you don't use all of your days.
- If you leave the district and go to another Texas school district, your state personal days go with you.
