This has been an exciting and fantastic week at CSE!  We have wrapped up our Annual Student-Led Conferences and hope you enjoyed hearing about your child's learning!  In addition, we had a wonderful Annual Leadership Day celebrating the greatness here at CSE!  We shared our leadership genius with other schools in the local area that attended today’s event!  #ProudPrincipal

May is here next week and we begin to learn about Habit 8: Find Your Voice.  People who have found their voice focus on expanding their circle of influence, being trustworthy, building trust, blending the voices of others, and creating a common vision.  They align goals and systems and empower others. Great achievers express their voice by developing their vision, discipline, passion, and conscience.  They recognize, respect, and create meaningful opportunities for others to express their voices.

I have found something that I am good at and really like doing.  I am proud but do not boast.  Instead, I use my expertise to help and inspire others. Here are a couple of  ways to practice the habit, Find Your Voice

• Try something new like painting, horseback riding, or baseball. Then ask yourself:  Did I enjoy myself?  Was it easy or hard?  Do I want to learn more?

• Plan some time to help someone in need.  How did the experience make you feel?

According to Texas Senate Bill 9, all Texas school districts are required to provide instruction relating to the prevention of child abuse, family violence, dating violence, and sex trafficking.  The Dripping Springs ISD Board of Trustees, with guidance from DSISD’s School Health Advisory Council (SHAC), has approved the curriculum that will be used to teach each of these topics. As a parent/guardian, you have the right to preview the curriculum(s) at any time.  Your child’s campus will share information regarding opportunities for parents to preview the material(s) and ask questions. This year we are partnering with Foster Village to help purchase new books to be included in 'Welcome Packs' for all of their new families receiving services. If you would like to contribute towards this fund, you can do so here (you can also donate to teacher wish lists at this site). Other ways to contribute: round up your change at the cash register, or purchase a raffle ticket on Family Night for the chance to win a book basket!
