Happy Holidays!  We hope everyone enjoys the winter break with family and friends! Have a relaxing, refreshing time as we wrap up 2021! Stay safe and we will see you all in the new year!

    1. Tomorrow is an Early Release Day. School dismisses at noon on Friday, December 17.

    2. Winter Break is December 20- January 4, 2022.  School resumes for students on January 5, 2022.

    3. Here is an opportunity to give to our Dripping Springs Education Foundation.

    4. Please be sure to check Lost and Found!  There are many jackets, lunch boxes, and water bottles that need to be claimed.  Items that are remaining on December 17 will be donated.  Labeling items is the best way to ensure lost items are found.

    5. Beginning January 5th, students are asked to refrain from pulling out their Pokemon cards during arrival and dismissal.  Our campus Positive Behavior Interventions and Support Team reviewed this system and believes this will set up our students for success.  Thank you for your support in this system.

    6. Attention all Bus Riders:  Please be sure that the children have their SmartTag on their backpacks daily. This is a safety procedure to ensure attendance on the bus and we appreciate your support.

    7. CSE PTA Updates

Thank you to our FANTASTIC CSES COMMUNITY!  We are drawing near to the end of our first-ever semester and we want to take this opportunity to thank you for supporting the opening of Cypress!  Our staff has worked tirelessly to ensure a smooth opening and we are fortunate to have strong family support. Thank you! Enjoy the holiday season!

    3. With the season of giving fast approaching, DSHS Student Leadership is running a pajama drive across DSISD to benefit the Pajama Program, which distributes pajamas and books to kids entering children's shelters due to abuse or neglect at home. We will be collecting pajamas at CSES in the main foyer outside the front office in the marked box from 12/6-12/17. Pajamas must be new or unused and sizes 8-14 are needed most (no gowns please). Here’s an Amazon wishlist with some examples of what we need: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/3KS7M4IINNPP6?.

    4. Check out this infographic about music!

    5. The library could use your help! Recently we have had a high volume of books returned with water damage. Books with water damage must be discarded because of mold. We are trying to grow our beautiful library as quickly as possible, and having to replace these brand new books sets us back. We could use your support by making sure that your child's water bottle does not leak, and that it is always kept in a separate compartment from library books while inside the backpack. Thank you!

    6. Please be sure to check Lost and Found!  There are many jackets, lunch boxes, and water bottles that need to be claimed.  Items that are remaining on December 17 will be donated.  Labeling items is the best way to ensure lost items are found.

This month we are learning about Habit 4: Think Win-Win. Thinking Win-Win is the key to working well with others. It is the most effective way of thinking.  Families that learn and practice win-win thinking are happier, experience less conflict, and are better able to meet the family challenges that arise.  Click here for a family activity to apply win-win thinking with your family.
