I am elated to serve as the first principal for Cypress Springs Elementary for the 2023-2024 school year! I also had the opportunity to serve for six years as the principal for Dripping Springs Elementary and six years as the assistant principal at Walnut Springs. We have a fantastic community, and I am excited about year 3 at CSES!
I began my teaching career at Austin ISD at Cunningham Elementary in 2003, teaching first grade. I continued my education journey in 2006, teaching third grade at Dripping Springs Elementary and Rooster Springs Elementary.
I believe in transformational leadership and in goal-setting to accomplish great things! All teachers and students can achieve greatness, and it is my role to enable greatness in people everywhere! The children are the purpose of my career as an administrator. Education is one of the most rewarding careers because we witness student and staff achievement and growth every day.
I am a proud wife and mother to three children. Kasey is a speech-language pathologist in Oklahoma City. Curt is an economics graduate from Cornell University, where he played football for the Big Red, and he is now studying and playing football for Texas Christian University (TCU). Go Frogs! Our youngest, Kylar, is a senior at Texas State University in college studying marketing. My husband and I love watching our children participate and compete in sports, and we love running and staying fit to "sharpen my saw", I am a 12-year cancer survivor. Most importantly, I AM A LIFE CHANGER and A POSITIVE CONTRIBUTOR.

My name is Jessica Sigur, and I am the assistant principal of Cypress Springs Elementary. I have a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction and 13 years of experience teaching at the elementary level, the last six of which were spent here in DSISD. Most recently I come from the Facilitator of Learning and Innovation role at Dripping Springs Elementary.
I aspire to be known for my warm demeanor, innovative nature, intentionality and genuine love for my students, families and staff members. I cannot wait to partner with you and your child’s teacher to ensure an amazing educational experience. I look forward to building relationships with each family and to help all students feel valued and supported as a part of our school community. I am also a parent and have two children, my son Bentley (11) and my daughter Harper (7). Our family lives close by in Wimberley, and we are active in the Dripping Springs community. You may see us poolside at the Tiger Splash swim meets cheering our kiddos on or on the Basketball Court!
I cannot wait to celebrate all of your child’s accomplishments here at CSE! Communication is essential to our partnership, so please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions along the way. I am excited to meet you all!
