Pay and Pay Placement
New employee pay is determined by placement on the appropriate pay scale (Teacher, Clerical/Technical, Auxiliary, or Administrative/Professional) based on documented years of directly-related experience. The pay scales are part of the district's Compensation plan, approved annually by the Board of Trustees.

Financial Benefit Services (FBS) is DSISD's third party administrator for benefits.
To see what benefits are offered, go to the FBS Benefits Portal (also called "the HUB"), and click on each benefit from the list on the left side of the page to explore plan information and costs.

- The 2023 Enrollment Flyer provides a benefit summary and FBS contact information.
- FBS has an Enrollment Walk-through Video (10 minutes long) that goes step-by-step through enrollment, from logging in to completion. Although the video talks about Open Enrollment, the information about the mechanics of the FBS system can be helpful throughout the year.

Benefits Enrollment for New Employees
Initial Enrollment:- New employees have 30 days from their date of employment to enroll and make any changes.
- Visit the DSISD Team page for information about current benefits.
- Go to the FBS Benefits Portal for more information and to complete your enrollment.
General Information:- The benefits plan year runs from September 1 through August 31 each year.
- Open enrollment is held annually before the start of the plan year.
