Welcome to the DSISD Special Olympics webpage.  We have a great year of bowling, basketball, and track & field (athletics) planned.  Practices are held in the DSISD area after school and competitions are in neighboring districts.  To be eligible to participate in DS Special Olympics, students must be:

• At least 8 years of age
• Identified by an agency or professional as having one of the following:
  -Intellectual Disability
    or
  -Closely related developmental disability, which means having functional limitations in both general learning and in adaptive skills, not caused by physical disability, emotional disturbance, behavior disorder, specific learning disability, visual impairment, or sensory disability
