Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Shannon Voges
I was raised in Lockhart, Texas with my mom, dad and sister Michelle. I attended K-12th grade in Lockhart ISD. After graduation I attended Texas A&M University where I majored in Early Childhood-6th grade Education. After my freshman year I transferred to Texas State University where I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies Early Childhood-6th grade ESL. Upon graduation I began my teaching career in a kindergarten classroom in Lake Travis ISD. I learned so much during my days spent with those young minds! The saying "All I needed to know I learned in Kindergarten" really rings true! I also spent a year teaching 2nd grade. While teaching I pursed my M.Ed. in Reading Education at Texas State University. Following the completion of my master's degree I moved into a Reading Specialist position. In the midst of continuing my education and building my teaching career I married my husband, Wes and we moved to Dripping Springs! I fell in love with the town and community and knew this is where I needed to be. I am thrilled to teaching and learning here at Walnut Springs!
