BOARD MEETING AGENDA POSTED:
The agenda has been posted for the May 17, 2021 DSISD Board of Trustees agenda review meeting. The meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the DSHS Auditorium. Board meetings have returned to an in-person format, with safety protocols in place. Facemasks will be required to enter the auditorium, as they are in all DSISD schools. In addition, seating will be marked to accommodate social distancing. The meeting will also be video-streamed in real time and can be viewed here.
COMMUNITY MEET AND GREET:
Dripping Springs ISD will hold a Community Meet and Greet with new Superintendent of Schools Dr. Holly Morris-Kuentz on Tuesday, May 18, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the DSISD Central Office Board Room. The event will be a come-and-go format.
NEW FAMILY REGISTRATION DROP-OFF:
The 2021-2022 registration/document drop-off dates for new DSISD families are Wednesday, June 2, 2021, and Thursday, July 29, 2021, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the campus your child will be attending. Cypress Springs Elementary parents should bring their required documents to Sycamore Springs Elementary.
VERIZON HOTSPOT RECALL:
Verizon has issued a recall for the Verizon Ellipsis Jetpack mobile hotspot devices that are being used by some students for distance learning. To request a replacement device or for additional information, please contact email@example.com. For more information, please click here.
DISTRICT OF INNOVATION UPDATE:
DSISD is reconvening the District of Innovation Committee to review the DOI plan and discuss potential updates. The committee will make a recommendation to the Board of Trustees to either renew or amend the plan at the May 24 board meeting.
"RETURN, REIMAGINE, RECONNECT" WEBPAGE PROVIDES UPDATES ON RETURN TO SCHOOL:
The "Return, Reimagine, Reconnect" webpage shares information and updates on school protocols in 2020-21. Information is available on the instructional plan, remote learning, in-person learning, the collection of feedback, and other resources. Frequently Asked Questions on many topics are available as well.

Throughout the pandemic, Dripping Springs ISD has been committed to providing the safest possible environment for all students and staff. As a district, we have continued to monitor conditions and data related to COVID-19 and safety protocols. At the May 5 special meeting of the Dripping Springs ISD Board of Trustees, the Board unanimously approved to hire Dr. Holly Morris-Kuentz as Superintendent of Schools. Dr. Morris-Kuentz, who most recently served as Deputy Superintendent at Lake Travis ISD, was named lone finalist for the position on April 13, 2021. She will begin her new role immediately.
