Debate I, Debate II and Debate III –

January 2017

Debate I students spent the end of the fall semester learning about Lincoln Douglas Debate. In LD Debate, the students debate a proposition of value, and this is a one on one debate format. They researched the topic and wrote cases in December, so in the upcoming weeks, your student will have the chance to show off their knowledge in debates before the class. Their topic is the current January/ February TFA/ NSDA topic, Resolved: Public colleges and universities in the United States ought not restrict any constitutionally protected speech.

Debate II, Debate III and Debate IV students are preparing for upcoming UIL, TFA and NSDA tournaments. Advanced debaters DO have extemporaneous speaking articles due next Wednesday or Thursday depending on which class they are in(January 11/12) and then on January 25/26, 2017.
