I am so excited for my first year as Assistant Principal at Rooster Springs Elementary! I joined the RSE family two years ago as a parent when my daughter started kindergarten. I was also blessed to join Dripping Springs ISD that same year as a Coordinator for Learning and Innovation at Central Office.
My education career began in 2000 in Round Rock ISD where I taught 4th Grade and 7th Grade math. My husband, being from Oak Hill, convinced me to move south to the Dripping Springs area in 2005 and I began working as an Instructional Coach at Kyle Elementary in Hays CISD. Between my jobs in Hays and Dripping Springs, I worked at the Education Service Center, Region 13 in Austin. My experience has broadened my understanding and appreciation for the public education system, but being back on a campus has renewed my excitement and passion for teaching and learning!
My husband, Kyle, and I have two children. Addison is a second grader at Rooster Springs, and Aaron is two. The three of them bring so much joy to my personal life. Finding balance and Sharpening the Saw are very important to me. We spend a lot of time together as a family and with friends.
As a mom, I have appreciated the experience that my daughter has received at Rooster Springs, and as an administrator, I will strive to ensure that each of your children are treated with as much care and consideration for their education. I believe strongly in the DSISD Mission that we partner with parents and the community to provide a superior education for every student. Please let me know what I can do to help ensure that mission is met for your child!
Let’s have a great year!
