Community involvement is critical to the success of all school districts and this is especially true in an area such as Dripping Springs where the schools are the center of the community. Community advisory committees strengthen ties between the school and the community in a way that enhances the core educational process.
There are several committees that provide input to the district on a wide variety of subjects, including district and campus planning, gifted and talented programs, student health initiatives, and facilities recommendations. Some of these committees convene on a regular basis, while others are ad hoc as needs arise.
If you are interested in participating in a community advisory committee, please complete an Application for Committee Appointment and submit it to the DSISD Administration Office. You will then be contacted by the district as committee openings arise that match your area of interest.
