All About Me
I have been teaching in Dripping Springs now for 31 years. When I started fresh out of college, the Elementary, Middle School, and High School were all on one campus. Wow, have things changed!
I graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelors Degree in All Level Music Education. I played the french horn all through school. In college, I was in the Longhorn Band, and the U.T. Wind Ensemble. I also sang in choirs from Elementary school on up. I LOVE to sing! My favorite place to sing is in church. When I was in Elementary school, we did not have music until 3rd grade. From the 3rd grade on, I just knew that I wanted to be a music teacher. Music class was so much fun!
I am married to a wonderful husband, Kris, who currently works for the LCRA. We have a daughter who is in 11th grade this year, and is a member of the Tiger Marching Band and the Chamber Choir!
My personal philosophy about music, is that Music is for EVERYONE, not just the talented few. It boosts brainpower, fosters creativity, builds community, and nourishes the soul.
